Gregory Wong reportedly replaced Feng Shaofeng
As reported on Mingpao News, the actor's response seemed to have strengthened rumours that mainland actors had avoided the HKFA like a black plague ever since it announced controversial film "Ten Years" as one of the nominees for Best Film.
According to sources, mainland actor Feng Shaofeng was initially invited to present the award for Best Cinematography and Best Editing, alongside Taiwanese star Darren Wang, and Hong Kong actors Ng Siu Hin and Babyjohn Choi. However, the actor decided not to do it after finding out that Ng was part of the aforementioned film.
Thus, Gregory was called in the last minute to be the replacement.
When asked about it, Gregory admitted that he was not originally scheduled to present that night, but he agreed to do so to show support for the HKFA.
