Hong Kong singer Leo Ku recently showed his love for Leslie Cheung by performing at the Les Fanmily fan event commemorating the 13th anniversary of his passing.

As reported on Mingpao news, the singer, who performed Leslie's hit songs in the late star's voice and mannerism at the event, admitted he picked up on Leslie's style since he was a big fan of the singer from his childhood.

Leo stated that his favourite album was the 1986's "Stand Up".

"When I hosted "Hot Gossip", I was finally able to interview him. Being able to do so was incredible. It was a great memory," he said.

He was also thankful to Leslie's fans for inviting him to the event as a performer, saying, "To be able to do something for them was a great opportunity for me. I would not disappoint Leslie."

Leo also revealed that he would like to release a special album to celebrate the talent that is Leslie Cheung, very much like the latter did back in 1989 for other worthy talents with his album "Salute".

"Aside from Leslie's songs that I like, I would also let fans choose what songs of his I should record," he said.
