Maine Mendoza reminds fans not to join hate attacks

Rising star Maine Mendoza has defended her fans from allegations that they have been very hostile towards other stars, including Mendoza's own onscreen partner, Alden Richards, and stressed that the people involved in such unnecessary fan wars are not her fans to begin with.

As reported on PEP News, the "My Bebe Love" star recently published a long post on her blog to warn her fans, also known as Solid Maine United or SMU, against other haters who are using her name to spread hostility among others.

"People have been accusing SMU of showing violent hate towards Alden Richards and/or other artistes. No, those people are not really part of the group. They are claiming to be part just so people could put the blame on them – us."

Mendoza alleged that this is just a smear campaign by irresponsible people to ruin her reputation in the eyes of others.

She also reminded fans not to start a fight with these so-called fans, as that would be the reaction that they craved.

"Some haters even claim to be a fan of who they are hating on, then they'll go start talking [expletives] on social media accounts, for they know that the way they conduct themselves would reflect on their 'idol's' character. Demolition is as easy and simple as that. Do not be deceived," she said. ALDUB
