Coronation Street’s Bev Callard Back On Cobbles After Battle With Depression
The 59-year-old has started filming new scenes as cobbles favourite Liz McDonald after taking time out with depression after the death of her for,er co-star Anne Kirkbride.
She won’t be given any big storylines for a couple of months and will not film for more than a few hours at a time, with regular breaks, to keep the pressure off.
A member of the production team is also reported to have been assigned to keep an eye on her to make sure she is not feeling the strain.
An insider told the Daily Mirror: “They’re like a family there and she’s very popular on set so everyone wants to make sure she’s OK and not pushed too hard, too soon.”

She was said to be traumatised by the 2014 death of Corrie actress Kirkbride, above, and took a holiday in Spain with husband Jon.
Callard recently announced things were improving, tweeting: ‘Saw a new doctor today. Got hope. I had a good day today, things are on the up. Thank you for being there.’
