Jeannie Hsieh reveals father's misdeed in the past
As reported on UDN News, the singer recently played a video recording at the end of her "Boom Boom Par" concert held at the Taipei Arena, which brought light to her father's past behaviour when it comes to taking care of the family.
In the video, Jeannie revealed that Chu, who left the family when she was in Primary Three, not only had an affair while still married to her mother, but tried to bring the mistress into their family home. She revealed that the entertainer even used Jeannie's sister's name to borrow money from loan sharks and caused a long period of suffering to the family.
The relationship between the 69-year-old entertainer and his daughter remained distant for many years until she had an accident at the age of 17.
Jeannie revealed that her father came to visit and promised to make up for his past behaviour. The promises didn't last too long, she said.
Although Chu attended the concert to send Jeannie flowers to congratulate her on her show, he didn't stay until the end to watch the video.
