Robert Downey Jr hints that there could be an Iron Man 4
The 51-year-old actor has been starring as the superhero since 2008 – in both dedicated films and ensemble comic book movies – but previously indicated that a fourth Iron Man movie wasn’t on the cards.
However, he has now told the Daily Star that he isn’t ready to hang up his Marvel costume just yet, sparking speculation that the superhero could get another big screen outing of his own.
“I don’t know how long I’ll do it for. I’ll keep playing Iron Man for a couple more years, I guess,” he said.
Robert has played the character in three Iron Man movies and has donned the red and gold suit for parts in the Avengers films. He can currently be seen in Captain America: Civil War and is due to star in three more films.
This week he also told ABC’s Nightline that another Iron Man film is possible.
“I feel like I could do one more,” he teased.
