Women With Large Chests are Angry AF at Victoria's Secret

The bralette-as-top trend has been gaining a lot of momentum recently, to the point where almost every other outfit at Coachella this year seemed to be built around one. Victoria's Secret is getting in on the trend with a new campaign featuring the likes of Taylor Hill and Elsa Hosk running around in a field at sunset in the brands newest bralettes.

"What do you like, Tay?" asks one of the models in the commercial. "No padding!" screams another (presumably Taylor Hill).

The phrase "no padding" is not one typically associated with Victoria's Secret, purveyors of the Bombshell bra and other cup-doubling styles. Indeed, if there is one thing Victoria's Secret ads are known for, it's the mounds of cleavage only padding can provide, making this quite a departure for the brand and stirring up quite a bit of controversy in the process.

Part of the controversy has to do with the wording of ads like the one below, which states that "No Padding Is Sexy Now!" With extra emphasis on the word "now," many feel that the brand is implying that no padding was somehow unsexy before.

Still others object to the bras themselves, which they say exclude women with larger chests. It's a complaint often directed at Victoria's Secret, which, despite being the number one bra retailer in the world and controlling close to 35% of the market, has always put their focus squarely on thin, small-breasted women, even as they promote the look of large breasts with their extreme padding.
