Although he applauded Charmaine Sheh for establishing her own agency, TVB actor Wayne Lai stated that he has no plans to follow her example...
Wayne Lai: Good for Charmaine Sheh, not for me!
According to On CC, the three-time TV King admitted that he is very comfortable with his current situation and finds it hard to adapt to new environment.
"I am a bit shy and old-fashioned, and I just don't want to spend time adapting to new surroundings. My family is also here. I just can't leave my son behind and head to China," he said.
The actor jokingly added, "No matter how much money you make, you are still eating three meals a day. Too much of that and you'll get high cholesterol."
However, the actor stated that Charmaine made the right choice by opening her own studio to manage her career in China.
Wayne also believes that an actor needs to develop continuously, and that he may one day rethink his thought about expanding his career outside of Hong Kong.
